Sustainability and Energy Efficiency

Sustainability is not an effort of achieving numbers on a table to secure LEED ratings, but rather a commitment that is “rebuilding the way we build things”.
Sustainable design and building practices is at the core of every Perez::McGee project decision. We address the questions of ecology, energy and economy up front as part of an overall “resource efficiency” strategy rather than addressing these issues after the fact.
Perez::McGee equates environmentally responsible design with good business practice. Through a holistic approach to design, engineering, and construction, including the selection of building products, equipment and furnishings, Perez::McGee endeavors to obtain “best value” solutions in terms of environmental responsibility, social awareness, and profitability throughout the building’s life.
With every project, Perez::McGee strives to promote high-performance design that maximizes energy conservation, environmental comfort, and material efficiency, while creating minimal waste and environmental impact during the construction process. Perez::McGee is committed to the design of buildings that advance environmental goals while remaining unique to place, climate, and program; and that are designed, built and operated in a manner that improves the health, well-being and productivity of people.
